At AZ Woodworks, I strive to bring lasting quality and beauty to your life. Maintaining the age-old tradition of working wood into things that make life work - from things you need, to things that are fun, to things that complement your home - is what inspires me to always strive for perfection. I keep my business very small so that every piece passes through my own hands to insure a quality product that may be passed on through the generations. Every piece is constructed from solid wood with hand-cut joinery. Then a hand-rubbed oil finish is applied that will last for years to come.

The tradition of woodworking stems from man’s basic need for structure – be it shelter or the things we use every day for working, eating, relaxing or simply storage. Wood is a readily available renewable medium that can be easily worked into functional structures. Over the hundreds of years man has realized the natural beauty that wood lends to these essential parts of our lives. The beauty of wood is exposed not only in its natural grain patterns as it is sliced into workable dimensions, but in that it can be formed in limitless ways, from a completely flat table top to intricate carvings and detailing. It is for these reasons that I have chosen woodworking as my lifelong passion. It is a tradition passed through the generations. I strive to preserve the “old” ways.

Please keep in mind that each piece is unique with its own grain patterns and color variations. These enhance the character and one-of-a-kind individuality of you heirloom piece and should never be seen as flawed.
